On 24th October, Deputy Consul General Xue Xiaoning attended the opening ceremony of Sabah Calligraphy Training Camp for Teachers in Sabah—Sandakan Station. Mr. Chin Tze Min, Chairman of Sandakan Chinese Primary Schools Management Committee Association, Ms. Huang Yuehua and Ms. Chiew Tung Moi, Deans of Confucius Institute at Universiti Malaysia Sabah, Mr. Chong Shau Lun, President of Kota Kinabalu Chinese Calligraphy Association, and more than 50 local teachers of Chinese language schools attended the event.

Deputy Consul General Xue Xiaoning stated that calligraphy is the most vivid spiritual symbol of Chinese cultural lineage and shoulders the important mission of passing down fine traditional Chinese culture. The Consulate General is willing to work along with all sectors in Sabah to support various China-Malaysia cultural exchange activities, injecting richer cultural momentum into the joint efforts of both countries to create a new “Golden 50 Years.”
