On 4 October, Deputy Consul General Xue Xiaoning attended the “China–Sabah Friendship” Bowling Fun Tournament 2026 and presented awards to the winning participants.

Deputy Consul General Xue said that Sabah’s major media outlets have made active contributions to enhancing Sabah people’s knowledge of a real China. The Consulate General is willing to work together with Sabah media professionals to further strengthen mutual understanding and friendship between the peoples of China and Sabah, promote mutually beneficial cooperation, bring greater benefits to both sides, and help to building a high-level strategic China–Malaysia community with a shared future.

The bowling competition was part of a series of cultural and sporting activities organised by the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Kota Kinabalu under the theme “China–Sabah Friendship”. Jointly organised by the Consulate General and the Sabah Journalists Association, it brought together more than 30 journalists from over 10 media agencies across Sabah and representatives of the Consulate General.

Following the competition, Deputy Consul General Xue Xiaoning was interviewed by Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM).
