On 18 August, Consul General Zhu Xinglong met with the delegation of the United Sabah Chinese Communities Association of Kota Kinabalu led by its president, Datuk Susan Wong Siew Guen.

Consul General Zhu highly appraised the achievements made by the association in serving local economy, deeply cultivating development of Chinese communities, promoting Chinese language education and so on. He stated that the Association is an important platform in uniting local associations and nostalgia among Chinese communities and fostering China-Sabah friendship. He said that the Consulate General hoped members of the Association can visit China more often to understand the real and comprehensive view of China, absorb developing experience, inject new momentum to China-Sabah cooperation.

President Datuk Susan Wong sincerely thanked the utmost support provided by the Consulate General, and stated that the Association will keep serving as the bridge, together with the Consulate General, to promote more fruitful achievements of cooperation between the two nations
