On April 17, Consul General Zhu Xinglong met with  Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Masidi Bin Manjun，the Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Finance of Sabah.

Consul General Zhu said that under the strategic guidance of the leaders of China and Malaysia, China–Malaysia relations are currently at their best in history, and cooperation between China and Sabah is facing unprecedented opportunities. China is willing to further strengthen its cooperation with Sabah in areas such as oil and gas, electricity, 5G, and new energy to support Sabah’s economic development, and jointly make solid progress in building a high-level strategic China–Malaysia community with a shared future.

Masidi said that the Sabah State Government attaches great importance to developing relations with China, and is ready to maintain close communication with the Chinese Consulate General, to continuously deepen cooperation, and achieve more mutually beneficial outcomes, to benefit the people of both places.
