Acting Consul General Ouyang Huifeng attended the Award Ceremony of the 5th Chinese-Bridge Chinese Show for Malaysian Primary School Students

On May 10, Acting Consul General Ouyang Huifeng attended the award ceremony of the 5th Chinese-Bridge Chinese Show for Malaysian Primary School Students and presented awards to the winners. The event was also attended by Professor Dr. Shahril Yusof, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of University Malaysia Sabah and representatives from the local education sector.

In his remarks, acting Consul General Ouyang emphasized that language is not only one of the means of communication, but also thecarrierof preserving civilization and the bridge for enhancing understanding. Amid today’s complex and evolving global landscape, he highlighted the increasing importance of civilization dialogues and cultural exchanges. He also shared the important outcomes of President Xi Jinping’s state visit to Malaysiain April and hoped that the young students in Malaysia would use the Chinese language as a bridge to becomeenvoys of friendship between China and Malaysia. He encouraged them to contribute actively to ushering in a new “golden 50 years” of China-Malaysia relations and to the building of a high-level strategic community with a shared future.
