On January 1, Consul-General Huang Shifang attended the inauguration ceremony of the 11th Head of State of Sabah Tun Musa Haji Aman and the celebration dinner. The events were graced by the Head of State Tun Musa, the Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji, the Speaker of State Assembly Datuk Seri Kadzim, members of both the Federal and Sabah State Cabinets of Malaysia, as well as representatives from various federal and state departments and representatives from the Consular corps in Sabah.

Consul-General Huang extended her hearty congratulations to the Head of State and expressed her hope that she could work together with him to enhance the friendly cooperation between China and Sabah to better benefit the people of the two places.
