On December 28, Acting Consul-General Ouyang Huifeng attended the award ceremony of the 7th China-Sabah Short Film Competition organized by the Chinese Consulate General in Kota Kinabalu, and presented awards to the winners.

In his speech, Ouyang Huifeng extended warm congratulations on the successful organization of the competition and to the award winners. He highlighted that this year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia,and the Year of China-Malaysia Friendship. Sabah plays an important role in building a community with a shared future between China and Malaysia. He expressed his hope that everyone will continue to support the "China-Sabah Short Film Competition" in the future, contributing to the promotion of friendly exchanges between the two peoples, while deepening mutual understanding and friendship. He encouraged participants to be active promoters of the friendship between China and Malaysia, as well as the best narrators of the cooperation stories between China and Sabah. 

The competition saw enthusiastic participation from people of all ethnic groups in Sabah, and some of the outstanding works will be showcased on the Consulate General's WeChat and Facebook.
