On September 24, the Consulate General in Kota Kinabalu hosted a reception celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China. The Head of Sabah State, Tun Juhar and his wife, Chief Minister Hajiji and his wife, State Assembly Speaker Kadzim, state cabinet members, dignitaries, as well as representatives from Chinese communities and overseas Chinese, Chinese-funded companies, international students and consular corps in Sabah attended the reception.
In her speech, Consul General Huang Shifang reviewed the 75 years since the founding of the People's Republic of China, highlighting the significant achievements made since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. She briefed on the theme of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, spoke highly of the strong ties between China and Malaysia and the achievement of cooperation between China and the consular district over the past 50 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations. She also stressed that China's ongoing development will create new opportunities for the global community.
Tun Juhar and Hajiji both delivered warm congratulations on the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, reiterating the Sabah State Government's commitment to fostering mutually beneficial cooperation with China and expecting deeper collaboration in the future.
Guests also visited the photo exhibition commemorating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia during the reception.
