On August 31, Consul General Huang Shifang, at the invitation of the Sabah State Government, attended the 2024 Sabah Day celebration. The event was attended by Sabah Head of State Tun Juhar Mahiruddin, Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, members of the state government cabinet, representatives from various state departments, consular corps in Sabah and people from all walks of life.

This year marks the inaugural official celebration of Sabah Day, following the Sabah State Government's announcement this June that August 31 has been recognized as Sabah Day, and will be officially celebrated every year.
