Consul General Liang Caide Paid a Farewell Call to the Chief Minister of Sabah State of Malaysia

On March 30th, the Consul General of China in Kota Kinabalu Liang Caide, paid a farewell visit to the Chief Minister of Sabah of Malaysia, Hajiji Noor.

Consul General Liang Caide briefly reviewed the fruitful results of exchanges and cooperation between China and Sabah in various fields during his tenure in office, especially the brotherhood shown by the people of the two places in the joint fight against the pandemic, as well as the important achievements of China-Sabah economic and trade pragmatic cooperation. With progress, a large number of investment cooperation projects have successfully landed in Sabah. Liang especially thanked the Chief Minister for attaching great importance to the development of friendly relations between China and Sabah, and fully supported the work of the Consulate General and himself. He said that the Chief Minister's closeness to the people, generosity and wisdom left a deep impression on him. The Chief Minister has forged a deep personal friendship with him, which is a treasure that he cherishes and will never forget. Liang pointed out that Sabah as an important node of the Maritime Silk Road, has an advantageous geographical location and rich resources, and the cooperation between China and Sabah has broad prospects and great potential. As the Consul General, his important mission is to promote mutual understanding and friendship between the people of the two places and the exchanges and cooperation between the two places in various fields. In the future, he is willing to continue to pay attention to the development of Sabah and contribute to the friendly cooperation between China and Sabah.

Hajiji Noor fondly recalled many unforgettable moments of interaction with Consul General in the past few years, regretted the departure of his good friend, and thanked Liang for promoting the development of Sabah-China friendly relations and exchanges and cooperation. It is hoped that Sabah and China will further expand mutually beneficial cooperation in tourism, economy, trade, investment and other fields in the post-pandemic era, and inject more momentum and vitality into the brotherhood friendship between Sabah and China. He himself also looks forward to leading a delegation to visit China as soon as possible after the pandemic, and personally promote the deepening of cooperation between Sabah and China in various fields.
